The Duel by Anton Chekhov
5M & 4F
In Chekhov's sublime novella, two men and two ideas of the age clash in the Caucasus: the self-confessed superfluous man Laevsky and the idealist, facist, zoologist Von Koren.
This adapation was created from a literal translation of the novella's dialogue by Ilona Kohanchuk. It is intended to work as a full length play: Chekhov's surrogate sixth alongside Ivanov, The Seagull, Uncle Vanya, Three Sisters and The Cherry Orchard.
